Parliament went into recess this evening. We start back on 6th october 2008.

Rt Hon Paul Murphy MP to visit Sheerness (21.07.08)
Paul, the Digital Inclusion Minister, visited the UK Online Centre at Hope Street, Sheerness today. It was his first visit to a UK Online Centre.

Jonathan Shaw MP, DEFRA Minister, & 4 Gun Field (21.07.08)
Following the meeting on Friday at Swale BC, Derek saw Jonathan Shaw this afternoon to aks him to look at whether the law could be changed with regard to concrete crushing.

Queenborough Town Council (18.07.08)
Derek met the Town Council on Friday evening and discussed with them the Wind Turbine project at the Docks, Age Concern and the Fisheries Trust.

Former Regis Furniture Employees (18.07.08)
The business has been bought out from the Receivers

MP re-elected Co-Chairman of APP Comms Group (15.07.08)
Derek was re-elected co-chairman of the new APP Comms Group (previously three Parliamentary groups) this afternoon.

Meridian TV Dinner (14.07.08)
Derek acted as host at the Dinner.

Derek will attend one of the films tomorrow.

Tunstall CoE Primary School Fete (05.07.08)
Derek attended the fete and met various members of the school, the parish council and the church to discuss both the consultation on the new path and the long term development plans of the school. The fete was a spectacular success.

Regis Furniture ex-employees meeting (04.07.08)
MP Derek Wyatt met former employees at 1300 at the Labour Hall, Sheerness and has agreed to see them again on 18th July 2008.

Rodmersham Stores wins Swale Business Award (03.07.08)
The Store collected an award for the best Business of the Year at a dinner at the Kent Science Park this evening.

MP votes against pay rise (03.07.08)
Derek voted against an above inflation pay rise; he is pleased that MPs will not have to place their London based addresses into the public domain.

Isle of Sheppey Academy raised in QT (30.06.08)
Derek raised the issue of the Cheyne Challenge to the Isle of Sheppey Academy in Schools' QT this afternoon
